The massive gyroscopic machine constructed within the Earth’s core was prepared and ready to go for its twice annual activation. It cost the entire globe a week’s worth of power just to make the machine work, but tradition was tradition and who the hell’s gonna argue with that? Not this narrator.
The engineering and science crews double-checked their numbers. Everything was all set to abruptly rotate the Earth by 15° to make it an hour later than it currently is. The captain activated the “fasten seatbelts” sign and hit the switch. It was time for Daylight Savings Time, fuckers!
