Casting Light
By Anthony Jutz
The tower casts its light,
Through the wide horizon.
Echoing through the clouds,
It sings its lonely song.
Blinking in and out,
It warns of floating embers.
But no one passes by
This place they can’t remember.
Standing tall and lonesome,
The tower casts its light.

Art Update – 10 Nov 2018
Whoa, it’s been a while since my last update. Like a month and a half! Much of that time was spent re-evaluating my attitude toward creating, and practicing a better perspective. Let’s get into that more down below.

Art Update – 26 Sept 2018
Hello friends! It’s been a while! I figured today’s as good a time as any to dust off the past couple weeks of inactivity and let you all know what’s going on.

Rucksack
by Anthony Jutz
A traveler’s rucksack,
Filled with things along the way.
This collection of stuff,
From both good and bad days.
Memories beholden,
To failures from the past.
A sad compartment of shit,
Dumped in a ditch at long last.
To let go and let loose,
The present better than what was.
The pack now lightened,
Cleaned out just because.
All that old junk,
Left to rot in the sun.
Time to move on,
Tomorrow’s just begun.

ODP Poem – “Dragon”

Dragon
by Anthony Jutz
Bright as the night,
It slithers behind the moon.
But during the day,
It whispers in the clouds.
Within the atmosphere,
The world is its throne.
Its kingdom its own,
Ruled by none.
Tread lightly,
Beware the dragon’s words.
For where reality meets unreality,
Truth is but a wish.
Now go,
Go softly.
And breathe,
Breathe the dream.
The dragon calls.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Ominous Doom Planet! This is going to be a series of illustrations and short fiction set on a planet where reality itself is fractured and blending with alternate worlds. There will be monsters and terrifying happenings galore.

Ominous Doom Planet will follow the journey of two scientists, Doctor 37 (below, left) and Doctor 4 (below, right). They’ve become stranded during their research expedition to this planet and its overlapping, fractured realities.
Keep an eye out for future posts, and follow me on Twitter and Patreon for updates about what I’m up to in relation to this project!
See you soon!
Art Update – 26 May 2018
Hey everyone! At long last, it’s time for another art update. I’ve been pretty busy working on my book, but I’ve managed to play around and further develop my style, too. Check it out below!
Drawing Process: Dr. Petrol
Hey everyone! I figured now is a good time to post some of my current process for drawing. Today’s process is of a character I’ve been developing: Dr. Petrol. They’re part of a biological incident clean-up crew, and that’s about as far as I’m at for backstory so far.
Anyway, without further ado, here’s the photos and explanations!
Art Update – 5 May 2018
Wow, it’s already been a month since the last art update. I haven’t been up to too much, at least not productivity-wise. Most of my efforts have been on recalibrating my attitude around creating. I kept trying to make creativity into a job, but that doesn’t work if I don’t also make it fun.
So I’ve been chilling way the heck out and just doing things when the mood strikes me and I have an idea that seems fun. It’s less compulsive and more spontaneous. I’m finding myself more open to things, as well. It’s nice.
Anyway, without further ado: Here’s some sketches and stuffs.
